I am a recent college grad, having earned a degree in Chemistry from the University of North Florida. Being Florida-born and raised, I am utterly bewildered at the sight of any sort of increase in elevation. Nevertheless, I've fallen in love with the mountains and the good tidings they bring. Getting the opportunity to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail is just more than I could have imagined for myself, and I plan to really take advantage of the time I will be spending in the woods to reconnect with who I am and what I want to do.
The goal is Katahdin, but I'm not certain as to where the trail will lead me and I'm not sure what I'll do once it is done. Graduate school seems like a nice option, so hopefully I'll be packing my bags as soon as we get home to set off for California, Oregon, Washington, or North Carolina. If not, hopefully there are cheap RVs in Maine.
Happy-go-lucky, 4 year-old Australian Shepherd. Obsessed with "ball" and "frisbee." Kelley's dad found her wondering around some Central Florida backroads, and it was love at first sight. Sheila is the most patient and endearing dog, and is up for anything. She has experience sailing, paddle-boarding, beaching, hiking, camping, and car-riding. She's smart; maybe too smart. She's also the best cuddle-buddy a girl could ask for. ;)
